Stamford Brook, W. London – Residential Mansion Block Garden.
Pending AGM 2008 confirmation of adequate service charges in order to proceed. To accommodate the communal needs and requirements of all residents, while ensuring those on the ground floor retain a high level of privacy and light to their apartments. The design aims to incorporate essential amenities, with recreational space for residents to enjoy. With the client being a residents association, there was a strong requirement, more so perhaps than for private domestic clients, to keep costs as low as possible. The design therefore embodies a relatively cost effective solution, which aims to accommodate large expanses of existing concrete as a sub-base, without the need for extensive land surveying, ground work and waste disposal.
Par terres can offer an effective and attractive solution; smart, traditional and sophisticated on the one hand, while also acting to curtail the habits of plants within their boundaries, making maintenance less of an issue.
