Great Witcombe, Cotswolds, Gloucestershire - Country Garden.
To work as much as possible with the existing hillside gradient in order to capitalise on the magnificent views across the Five Valleys, while ensuring such views could be accessed easily and enjoyed by all age groups.
An abundance of existing Cotswold stone on site meant it was possible to reuse much of the stone as part of the design. The garden is centred upon a central pivotal access, and links two distinct entertainment areas with stunning views, via a ramped resin bonded path, bordered by two split level, low rise evergreen hedges, which are easy to maintain and assist in framing the views beyond.
